Golfing 50 States Map
Courses Played
I started the journey June of 2023. Initially I was just going to visit family in Florida and Ohio. I put my apartment into a storage unit, and packed what I thought I would need to live into my car. As I was driving down to Florida, I decided to golf at a course on the way in MO. Then after I left the first Airbnb, I decided to golf again in Georgia. Then while I was golfing I thought to myself, “why not golf in every state?”. Then the initial 1-2 month trip to visit family, morphed into a cross country journey. Check out the Interactive Map
September 2023
I was able to golf all 50 states in 357 days. If you start the clock in Georgia June 17th, I golfed the other 50 states including DC, by June 9th. I spent most of the summer in the midwest, and then over Labor day last year I golfed the entire NorthEast over that weekend. 36 holes, 3 days in a row, over 6 states. That was a brutal weekend. I followed that up with a drive through downtown NYC, which was an absolutely wild experience. I’ve been a pedestrian in NYC, but never have driven. It is not for the feint of heart, or even someone that is a timid driver. The drive was worth it though, I was able to get an Airbnb on Long Island, and during the week I was able to take a half day, and golf at Bethpage Black. That was definitely an a cool course to play, and I never thought in a million years I would play it, because I never really saw myself taking a trip of any kind out that way.
